Research the question directed at you based on your student number. Copy and paste the link to the website you used to get your research from in your answer. Your answer should be in the form of a blog comment and be a minimum of 3 sentences in length.
If your student # is 1-5, research and answer: Describe what light pollution is. If your student # is 6-10, research and answer: Explain the characteristics of a spiral galaxy. Include about how many stars are in a spiral galaxy. If your student # is 11-15, research and answer: Explain the Big Bang Theory. If your student # is 16-22, research and answer: What is the top-down theory as it related to the formation of the universe?

Spiral galaxies appear to have a bulge in the middle and arms that come out. The spiral arms have many bright, young stars as well as gas and dust. Most new stars in spiral galaxies form in these arms. Few new stars are forming in the middle bulge.

Light pollution is an unwanted consequence of outdoor lighting and includes such effects as sky glow, light trespass, and glare. Sky glow is a brightening of the sky caused by both natural and human-made factors. The key factor of sky glow that contributes to light pollution is outdoor lighting.

Spiral Galaxies have two distinct regions. The disk of the galaxy contains the spiral galaxies. The disk is a star formation and has gas and dust. The blue population has 1 stars. The bulge is composed primarily of population 2 stars. Type c spiral galaxies have the most dust and gas. About 500 thousand stars in spiral galaxies.

Light pollution comes from many different places with light, like streetlights and buildings light. Some cities like New York you can see the light from space.Too much light can make it difficult to see the stars.

The origin of the galaxies has remained such an unsolvable mystery because technology has not yet progressed to such a point that it can satisfactorily answer this question.

The big bang theory is the leading explanation about how the universe began. At its simplest,it talks about the universe as we know it starting with a small singularity. Then inflating over the next 13.8 billion years to the cosmos that we know today.

Most spiral galaxies contain a central bulge surrounded by a floating disk surrounded by stars. The bulge is made up of older dimmer stars. Scientists think inside the bulge is a massive black hole. The dim light from the stars makes it hard to pinpoint.

The big bang theory took place about 13.7 billion years ago. And then the galaxies started to form 1-2 billion years later. Our solar system was not made until about 4.6 billion years ago with no primitive single celed life appering.

The big bang theory includes excistance of a microwave background and red shift. The stars do not stay the same, but they change as they age.The big bang is about galaxies and they are moving away fromus.

The big bang theory is the dominate theory of the origan of the universe. In essence this theory states that the universe began from an lnitial point or singularity which has expanded over billons of years. In 1927 Roman Catholicpriest and physicist Goerge Lemaitare indepetly calculated the Friedman solution and suggestion that the universe must be expanding
